Overview
A side thruster is a power device that propels a ship laterally. It has a structure in which a horizontal hole is opened near the bottom of the ship and penetrates left and right, and a propeller inside the hole creates a water flow in the left and right direction. By using it when berthing and unberthing, you can save time and effort and navigate safely. The one on the bow side is called a “bow thruster” and the one on the stern side is called a “stance thruster”.
Implementation
- Tightening points for propellers that rotate at high speed.
- Flange fastening point of the hydraulic drive system.
- Places subject to vibration or impact during operation.
Improvement
- The loosening matter has been improved, and safe navigation has become possible.
- Retightening work is no longer necessary, greatly reducing the workload.
