Overview

The lightning rod of the lightning suppression system is not intended to induce lightning, but to protect the building where it is installed from lightning and lightning strikes.

Since it does not discharge to the sky, it reduces the possibility of being struck by lightning, and in the unlikely event that it is struck by lightning, it safely spreads the lightning current to the ground.

Hardlock Nuts are used to fasten flanges that fix support pipes and insulator poles at high places.

Implementation

  • Installed in an environment with a maximum wind speed of 30m/s or more, where a large wind load is applied.
  • Places where regular inspections (according to JISA420) are obligatory to prevent serious accidents from coming off due to natural disasters such as typhoons.
  • Places where it is difficult to perform work such as retightening in high places.

Improvement

  • Completely eliminates the loosening of screw fastening points, eliminates lightning rod dropouts and screw troubles, and greatly improves safety.
  • Since retightening work is no longer necessary, the workload during regular inspections has been greatly reduced.
