Overview

An overhead travelling crane is a type of crane that runs along rails (travel tracks) installed along the walls on either side of a building such as a factory, and is operated near the ceiling, hence the name overhead crane. It can perform three types of movements: lifting, horizontal travel, and travel along the rails. It is used for transporting heavy objects and parts in machine factories.
