Overview

The rolling mill in a steel plant is a machine that heats and rolls slabs, billets, and other materials into thick plates, thin plates, bars, etc. The heavy slabs are stretched and rotated over the rolls at high temperatures. The fastening of the roll axis is used in this process.

Implementation

Hardlock Bearing Nut Application
Hardlock Bearing Nut Application
  • Areas where the roll axis shaft is key-grooved and attached with nuts and toothed washers.
  • Areas with large shock loads that are easily loosened.
  • Areas exposed to high-temperature environments.

Improvement

  • The key processing on the shaft is unnecessary, and it can now be installed with general construction methods.
  • There is no loosening, and maintenance work has been reduced.
  • The operational rate of the production equipment has improved.
